Scales and Tales was born from the imagination and designer markers of Bill McElroy, an avid tournament fisherman and illustrator from Michigan. Well known throughout the fishing and outdoor industry as a very talented, generous and fun loving guy, Bill and his marketing team have joined forces with the Zipper Worm Company, to bring you an exclusive line of Scales and Tales t-shirts and hat’s featuring his character’s and artwork.

“Serious fishermen are always trying to figure out how to catch more and bigger fish, it’s just part of what we do!” said Bill, ”But on those slow days when the bite is off, or things are just not going my way, I tend to think of reason’s why that may be. My imagination can get the better of me sometimes, so I can’t let that go to waste, I might as well turn it into a cartoon that every angler can relate to!” Appearing in National publications and on the internet since 1990, Scales and Tales panels have appeared monthly in BassTIMES, Bassin’, Crappie World, Bass Pro Shop’s Outdoor World Magazine, and BassFan.com. The past few years it’s been appearing regularly in Wired2Fish.com and his own website, ScalesandTales.net.
